It's me, Captain Mercury. Welcome to my new blog! Just in case you wanna know a little bit more about me, this first entry is going to be about my home land, Cinnabar. Now for those of you who don't know, Cinnabar is a planet inhabbited by aliens like me. Cinnabar is also an ore from which mercury is derived from, hence my name. The people of Cinnabar are called Cinabarians, and they are set on destroying earth. Don't worry though, I am set on protecting you guys. Cinnabarians mostly all have powers realating to mercury, such as liquid powers, poison, or since mercury has been around so long, long life. Well, gotta bounce!

Today's topic is my super powers. I love them!  I can turn into a liquid at will. I can use it to avoid attacks, sneaking around, or  fitting through tight spaces. I can solidify back as a human whenever I want. If I use my super powers a lot in a little period of time, it does make tired, like a person would get tired after running a marathon. If it is very, very cold, my super powers will not work. Mercury freezes at -38.83 degrees celsuis, so at that tempurature my powers don't work. That's pretty much it! Bye for now!

Rember that real life plutonium, is a man made, nuclear substance. A couple of scientists decided to make a helper for me. They were expirimenting on criminals for the price of their freedom (which is very wrong) and on their first expirement, things went really bad. Instead of the super powered person being ready to fight crime, he was filled with vengance and hate at what they had done to him. He went crazy and started attacking whatever he could. The poor sap. I almost feel bad for him. Almost. However that guy is infirating. Uh oh, citizens are in trouble. See you later!

I'm going to talk about my sidekick, Hassium. He's more of a butler really. The poor kid wants to be a superhero, but doesn't have the powers. He is super clever though and has lots of spirit. I wish I could do something to help him achieve this dream. We choose to call him Hassium because it is an element that has no known uses. I know that sounds pretty mean, but he choose the name himself. Maybe someday the kid will find his purpose, I know he has potential. I don't think I could survive without him though! He helps so much with all the sciencey and mathy things I can't do. In awhile crocadile!

Bonding is when two elements bond to create something new. Us elemental superheroes can do this too. I can bond with Agent Oxygen to form Mercury Oxide. Our combination can do stuff like fly and turn into liquid. It can also charge batteries! Mercury doesn't combine with many elements so I'm often described as "difficult to bond with". That's just a little bit insulting too me. I wish I could do other cooler combinations, but I'm pretty lucky as it is. Hasta la Vista!

We are talking about my costume today. My costume is a red top with and skirt paired with silver boots, gloves, and a bow. This is because red is the color of cinnabar and mercury is silver in most states. The boots, bow, and gloves match the liquid I turn into. Pretty snazzy, right? My outfit is simple and easy to move in. The top has mercury's elemental symbol on the front and the atomic number on the back. That's pretty much it! Adios!

He wears a dark purple cape that brings out his purple glowing eyes. For an evil villan he has some great fashion since! However, if I were him, I would ditch the scary cape. My favorite subject. Just kidding! Anyway, people always tell me that I'm very quirky and peppy. They also say I talk a lot. Specifically, they say "Her mouth runs a mile a minute". My home planet friends say "She's a dirty traitor!". From their suspective, I guess I kind of desserved that. Hassium describes me as "The coolest elemental hero I have ever known!". That kid flatters me, he's just so sweet! That's an ok summary of my personality.  Tchuss! (That's German for goodbye)

The Leauge of Elementals Gathered, or LEG, is a group of element super heroes like me. Most of us are aliens or expirements too. It's nice to have some people that have the same struggles of me.
