Paper base, with a baryta layer made of gelatin and barium sulfate, layer above that has silver grains and top layer is hardened gelatin. Light causes a reduction of the silver salt to silver mettle creating a latent image. Image then developed. Then it is put into soap bath. After that unexposed silver is removed.</div>]]></description>
