-In Chamonix there is a strong British tourism presence, especially during winter, with many brits visiting for skiing and other mountain activities, a jigsaw store would appeal to this demographic who are already accustomed to the brand, and recognise Jigsaw as a British heritage store.

-Target market- Chamonix's demographic often consists of higher- income tourists who might be more inclined to shop for premium brands like jigsaw. The store could tap into this affluent market with higher- end fashion and accessories.

- Chamonix sees a surge of visitors during the winter and summer seasons, these sales can be maximised in the peak times through successful and well times marketing strategies.

Marketing- cross marketing opportunities can help to maximise sales in the peak times, collaborating with local tour operators, hotels and ski resorts could increase visibility eg a billboard, physical advertisements on the slopes (Prada is a successful example of this as they advertised the brand on various ski chair lifts).

-CONS

Chamonix experiences peak tourist seasons in winter(skiing) and summer (hiking, mountaineering and golf), but the spring and autumn months are quiet, this faces a challenge with opening a jigsaw store here and may result in inconsistent sales.

In Chamonix there are high operational costs(paying staff and rent), especially in popular shopping areas. Alongside seasonal fluctuations this can be challenging to keep a permanent store there all year round.

-Economic sensitivity: Tourism is vulnerable to global economic fluctuations, travel restrictions(covid) and unforeseen crises.

Limited local market- while Chamonix has a substantial British tourist population, the local French market may not be as receptive to Jigsaw's British heritage brand, which could limit the customer base beyond the tourist consumer market.
