Soldiers would always carry bullets on them, in case they needed to fire and reload.          <description><![CDATA[<p>This specific ration (food), contained meat, potatoes, onions, and turnips. It was one of the most common available foods for soldiers to eat when fighting in the trenches. It was often eaten cold, since heating the food wasn't always viable. This food represented the struggles and the harsh conditions that the soldiers had to endure inside the trenches during this era.</p>]]></description>
