Sinita was talking to Minerva about how Trujillo was able to be president in a corrupt way. All of the male's in Sinita got killed when they tried to stand up against Trujillo. Minerva said "It was as if I had just heard Jesus had slapped a baby". Minerva was so surprised by what Sinita told her about Trujillo since she thought so highly of him. She thought of him like a god so when she heard all these bad things about him she was in shock.
