5/9/18
60 minutes
Pages 92 - 148
I can connect to what is going in my book because Kyle and some of the others on Mr. Lemoncello's board of trustees are on a race to find a certain fact about either Micheal Jordan or Thomas Edison. Kyle was looking for a certain fact about Thomas Edison with Abia. My connection is called self to text and I can relate to having to look for something during a team race. An example of when I understood the action that was going on was when my youth group played photo scavenger hunt. A photo scavenger hunt is where you have a list of random things and you go around town and take pictures of them. Also, I can relate to Kyle when he jumps to conclusions. I jumped to conclusions when I assumed that my family and I were going to church one Sunday morning, but we weren't.

Narcissus

Beginning to End
The theme of the story is don't take out your own pain on other people, making them suffer. Echo showed many character traits throughout the story. For example, she was talkative, in love, desperate, and regretful. She would have quite a hard time not talking, so she was very talkative. She was in love with Narcissus and desperate for him to notice her. Later in the passage, she was regretful of being so talkative because Zeus' wife had cursed her. Narcissus, on the other hand, was self-absorbed, arrogant, rude and unfair. He was self-absorbed because he thought his own image was beautiful. Since he wanted nothing to do with Echo and wouldn't let her touch him, he is arrogant. That would also be an example of when he was rude. He was unfair when he shunned all of the other nymphs including Echo.

Rikki-tikki-tavi

Beginning to End
I predicted that Rikki-tikki-tavi would stay at that young boy's house and the family will adopt him. On page 78, the text stated, "...let's take him in and dry him." This was a clue from the story that helped me make my prediction. Rikki almost drowned when the Teddy, the little boy, had found him. He was unconscious, but the family still thought that he might live. That night he slept in Teddy's room even though the mom thought he might hurt Teddy. My prediction ended up being correct. He lived at that house and got to protect the family from snakes. Two snakes live in the garden near the house and they will hurt someone if they get the chance. Nag, one of the snakes, tried to attack the child and his family at different times. Fortunately, Rikki was able to fend him off until the father shot him. Now that he died, Nagiana, Nag's wife, is very angry and goes after the family, too. Rikki was able to squish all of her eggs and kill her.

5/13/18
20 minutes
Pages 149 - 163
A rumor came about that Mr. Lemoncillo stole his idea of Family Frenzy from an older lady named Irma Hershman. She was all over the news and the Krinkle brothers, Mr. Lemoncello's arch rivals, supported her. She had a box that showed her original idea and the game board and game pieces to prove it. What was said to be her idea, Family Frolic, everybody believed it was hers except Kyle and everyone else on the Board of Trustees. The people in the last of his Fabulous Fact Finding Frenzy, decided to figure out the truth instead of finding the fact that they were supposed to. They did research for the rest of the day. Research around the library for anything that could help them to figure out the truth.

5/17/18
20 minutes
Pages 164 - 181
The four remaining kids teamed up and decided to ask for a delay of the game. Mr. Lemoncello granted permission for it and they used all of the resources they needed. To make matters worse, the complete set of plans to Mr. Lemoncello's big hit for the holidays, Fantabulous Floating Emoji game had gone missing. They headed to the Imagination Factory headquarters to talk to a few of the workers there. Irma Hershman said on her website that she had called the factory about Mr. Lemoncello's Family Frenzy game. While they were on the plane to New York, they did research on the computers and found out that she never filed a patent on her game. They knew that wasn't enough evidence for people to believe that she was lying. This makes me think that both of the problems will come back to the Krinkle brothers.

5/20/18
20 minutes
Pages 182 - 207
Word got out that Mr. Lemoncello and his game were supposedly taken from the lovely old lady named Irma Hershman. The policemen in Alexandriaville Ohio had to close off Mr. Lemoncello's library because he is considered a Theft of Intellectual Property. Kyle and the team of people originally doing the Fabulous Fact Finding Frenzy continued to search fen or the truth. When they saw that Irma Hershman looked a lot like Mrs. Maplebutter, from a syrup company, they decided to look more into it. It turns out that this ladies name isn't Irma Hershman but Beth Bennett. She is an actress that was hired by the Krinkle brothers to say that the idea of Family Frolic was hers. They also found out that her daughter Jessica Bennett had stolen the plans for Mr. Lemoncello's Holiday Hit and had given it to the Krinkle brothers.
