I play this game with my history classes at the end of a unit sometimes. I bring in a box of Legos (a big box - various pieces). I divide the class into groups of four. This usually makes for five or six groups. On a slip of paper, I write out five or six different scenes (taken from things we studied). Each scene goes on a slip of paper. Groups pull one of the scenes from the hat and have 10 minutes to build the scene with Legos. At the end of the 10 minutes, groups will move around the room and try to guess the scene for other groups. The group with the most correct guesses wins.

I use this one every couple of weeks when I feel energy level is a little low. I have the students stand up in pairs, one facing screen, one facing away. I flash 5 subject words (but often throw one in that isn't on topic) and have them sit down when their partner has guessed all words. Then reverse students for 5 more. So fast and easy password.

kids make basic study cards for test review. (teacher can set parameters for what this looks like) The cards have question on one side, answer on the other. I ask each kid to do 10. Collect 2 cards from each student. Kids keep 8. (if someone did not do homework, I just create a station for them and they work on this while other kids are playing...when they are done, they can join the game) All students stand up and pair up. Goal is to get rid of all cards. Teacher has a small prize for when that happens. When I say "Play" pairs rock paper scissor. Winner picks if they ask questions or answer questions. If they ask questions, they take all questions from partner as well as their own cards. Asker asks as many questions as they can in the time teacher gives. (teacher picks time but keeps it private...students do not know when the timer will go off...this element makes kids try to go faster) Sometimes the timer goes off quickly and an "asker" may end up with a ton of cards. Sometimes the kids are given enough time to go through all the cards. If a student gets the question correct, the partner keeps the card. If they get the card wrong, the student answering gets that card. When a student has no cards left, they get a prize. (I give a sweet treat and the gift of knowledge...for me this is a jolly rancher and 5 new study cards from that stack I collected in the beginning) Students re-pair up for each session. They soon learn there is strategy here. Students must be standing to play. It helps keep them on track. This is a fast-paced game.
