Bleeding Kansas was an event that was part of the many factors that ultimately led to the Civil War. One of the reasons why this event led to the Civil War was the struggle between the new states being admitted allowing slaves or not. This led to there being votes held by the citizens to decide what type of state it would become. In the end many people started fighting physically over this choice. this event led to the death of more than 55 people. This influenced the start of the war because it caused both southerners and northerners to see each other as opposites even though they live in the same country.

When Lincoln got elected for president, many people in the south were unhappy. They had gone out of their way to make sure that he was not an option to vote for in many voting areas in the south. Regardless, Lincoln still won the election. This caused the south to secede due to the fact that Lincoln was from the north. They did this because they feared that he would end slavery. This was the last straw for the Civil War to start.

Through the course of reconstruction, Lincoln's 10% plan could be seen as a success. It was perfect for the south to accept because it allowed them a lot of freedom on their end. But they still were displeased with the terms of it. This changed the economy for the south by lowering the production of their cotton. It also created a political divide between the north and south.

The death of Lincoln can be seen as a failure during the course of reconstruction. This is the case because it heavily delayed the progression of the rebuilding of the south. But socially, many southerners rejoiced for they believed that they would be able to get their labor back. this also caused many of Lincoln's plans to be thrown under the bus. Never to be seen again.

With the rise to Presidency for Johnson it caused many things to go wrong for the freedman. In many cases, this event is seen as a failure of reconstruction. Politically, because of him pardoning many southerners of their crimes, many confederates were able to run for government positions. While he was in term, he never helped pass any bill that Congress had left him. This caused them to be angry and try to get him impeached. ut he was able to remain. This also changed things economically because of southerners being able to get their land back and putting many freedmen into economic slavery.

But socially, many southerners hated it and created groups like the K.K.K to invoke fear into many of them. But many churches were built for them to practice religion. Due to segregation, it was hard for many of them to earn a living. But overall, it allowed for many of them, to be finally free for the first time in their lives.
