We could test different coins and their ability to foster bacterial growth. Throughout history the materials or metal rather, that were used to create the coins we use as money has changed depending on the economic status of the world and general affordability to produce the coin. Typically they appear in different compositions like nickel, zinc and often times even bronze, presented in different alloy like formats.

We could use this information to determine the which material is the worst at harboring bacteria growth and understand why that is. Additionally, this could be applicable to future endeavors in the industrial and architectural sectors of the world. This could give us a better look and maybe even persuade a particular material to be used for the coins of the future.

The information collected would help people in general know which surfaces harbor more bacteria. For example: phone cleaning technologies could use information to determine which conditions are optimal for bacteria mitigation and cleansing.
