Why is Pluto not a planet?

Pluto is not a planet for many reasons. For instance, Pluto has an unusual, streched out orbit. Pluto's orbit also overlaps Neptune's orbit. Another reason Pluto is not a planet is because Pluto is super small. It is only two thirds the size of our moon. Pluto is smaller than any other planet we know of. Pluto is not called a planet for its strange tilt. Pluto might have been hit by something like an asteroid. The last reason Pluto is not a planet is that it is extremely far away from the sun. For those reasons, Pluto is not a proven planet.

In the Milky Way there are 8 planets and 200,000,000,000 stars. The Milky got its name because people thought the arms of the Milky Way looked like spilled milk. The Milky Way is a huge collection of stars, gas, and dust that are held together by gravity.

To start off, the sun is a ginormous ball of steaming hot gases. It is mostly made of hydrogen, but it also contains helium. The sun also produces heat and light to the entire solar system. Those two things are required for life on Erath. Without the sun, everything would freeze and all life in the solar system would die. Also, the sun holds the solar system together. Without it, the planets, moons, asteroids, and other objects in our solar system would go flying into space.

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars are all inner planets. Mercury is the smallest and Earth is the biggest out of the inner planets. Earth and Mars are very similar because of size and their atmosphere. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. Earth is the only planet that has human life. Venus is the hottest planet.

MERCURY: Mercury is the smallest, fastest, and closest to the sun. It also has the oldest surface and wild temperatures. It has very hot days and very cold nights

VENUS: Venus is the 2nd closest planet to the sun. It also is the hottest planet. Lightning and hard winds would make it very hard to land.

EARTH: Earth is the third planet from the sun. It is the only planet that has human life. Earth has one moon named Luna. Luna doesn't have an atmosphere.

MARS: Mars is the fourth planet from the sun. It is very similar to Earth. It is always cold. It also has two moons Phobos and Deimos.

All of the outer planets have some things in common. All of the outer planets are gas giants, but they aren't stinky. They are called gas giants because they have gaseous atmosphere. they are much larger and colder than the inner planets. Unlike the inner planets, the outer planets have rings, and many more moons. You couldn't land anywhere on any of the outer planets because their surfaces are made of gas.

Jupiter: Jupiter the largest planet in the solar system. It is also the fifth planet from The Sun. There is nowhere to land on Jupiter because its surface in made up of gas. Scientists say Jupiter may contain some type of rocky material. Jupiter also has 62 moons.

Saturn: Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun. It is also the second largest planet in the solar system. Since Saturn is a gas giant which means there would be nowhere to land. The pressure and winds would tear a spaceship apart.

Uranus: Uranus is the third largest planet and it is the seventh from the sun. The planet is a blue green color which is caused by a gaseous atmosphere. It has a temperature of -216 degrees Celsius, proving to be freezing!

Neptune: Neptune is the furthest planet from the sun. Neptune has a cold outer layer of methane, this gives the planet its blue color. Neptune also has 13 moons.

Objects In Our Solar System And How they are Different

We have many objects in our solar system. The main part of our solar system is the sun. the sun holds the solar system together. It also provides heat and light our solar system. The solar system also contains planets. there are two groups of planets, inner and outer planets. Inner planets are rocky. Unlike the sun, they are not made of gas. No planet in the solar system is as big as the sun, not even Jupiter, the biggest planet in our solar system. The sun is the largest object in our solar system. Planets come in second. Another object the solar system holds is asteroids. Asteroids are chunks of iron and rock that orbit the sun in the asteroid belt. The asteroid belt is between Mars and Jupiter. Sometimes asteroids go rouge and hit other objects in the solar system. Asteroids can range in size from a grain of sand to hundreds of miles in diameter, but they are still smaller than planets.
