Their first flight, piloted by Orville, took place in Kitty hawk, North Carolina. </p></li><li><p>The flight lasted 12 seconds, covering about 120 feet. In earlier attempts, they tested gliders before building the airplane. The same day of their success, they kept testing the aircraft, including a longer flight that lasted a minute and covered 852 feet.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

It was dropped by an airplane nicknamed "Bockstar" piloted by Charles Sweeney.</p></li><li><p>"Fat Man" weighed 10,000 pounds with a diameter of 60 inches. This was the second nuclear weapon used in warfare. The first was an atomic bomb called "Little Boy", the first nuclear weapon used in warfare dropped in Hiroshima, Japan on August 6th of the same year.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
