Hi there! here's my photo collage. When going through the first lesson I understood there were some things that were clear to me and some others I had never thought about. I tried to represent that here.

In the middle I decided to put an image that for me shows how blended learning works. These online and offline opportunities we give students to learn.
Surrounding this picture we find the idea of critical thinking while using technology in the classroom. Students are not passive participants when using technology, it's rather the opposite, they can collaborate and thanks to this, technology can really make the classroom more "social" (this was rather new for me, we tend to look at technology from the other side as a harmful tool for sociability). Another thing I considered really important was the idea of not limiting students and allowing them to use the phone when they need it for studying, as the phone can be a great tool.
Finally, on top of the image there are some figures with flags. We sometimes forget that we are preparing global citizens that need to develop their empathy and understand other cultures. Thanks to the Internet, the world's doors are open and we can have access to lots of resources to share and use in the classroom.

Thanks!

Hi! This is what the collage represents for me . This picture includes both what students need to achieve and what teachers should do in order to help them in doing so.
21st century students need to be able to create, innovate, collaborate, communicate effectively, think critically and solve problems. They also need to be aware of cultural differences and respect them. All of them are skills more than just contents to teach. This is the teacher's role, to promote and facilitate tools to build them instead of transmitting knowledge which may be useless in the near future. Society is changing and education too
, so are doing our roles. If we want our students to be prepared for their future, we need to equip them with skills. Thus, they will be able to build the knowledge they need to participate actively in society.

I’ve selected those pictures because I believe students are all time exposed to technology. Learners use social webs all the time so we as teachers can use that ability they have and include it in our classes. Moreover they are always connected to each other and with the world as well, so that is a great opportunity for us to make them explore and learn about other cultures.

I really like the picture where the book is changing into a computer, it shows that we students and teachers can find whatever they want there. I must confess that I still need to have the book at hand.

Regarding the picture of the teacher and the students, it can be said that it's the ideal class, where everybody has the opportunity to teach and learn using technology.

Regards, Ioana!

Teaching 21st-century learners involves adapting our instructional methods, teaching techniques and curriculum to meet the unique needs and characteristics of today's students, who are growing up in a rapidly changing world with access to technology and information like never before. The pictures I used try to convey the way technology has opened numerous doors to ways of learning and teaching that were unimaginable some decades ago. It has been proved that by developing students' digital literacy skills, teachers can help them become proficient in using technology for research, communication, and creative expression while emphasizing responsible and ethical use and encouraging self-directed learning by giving students more autonomy over their education.

Hi! This is my collage. For me it represents the opportunity of mixing the way we used to teach and the way we're supposed to start teaching, which is quite difficult. It also represents a huge fear that many of us have, the replacement of the teachers for new technologies.

Hello. This is my collage and it represents what I think teaching in the 21st century should look like. As it was shared previously, it is crucial to think about activities that foster collaboration and teamwork. Also, we have to start paying attention to how our students think and learn according to their context. We live in a time where students are multi-tasking all the time and are exposed to tons of information and visual stimuli. So, the traditional classroom represent a obstacle for their learning process.
For this reason, I decided to include a picture that shows a teacher using a presentation to work with students and some students working on their computer alone. Learning doesn't take place only at school anymore but anywhere else. And we can also use that as an advantage. For example, the flipped classroom should be useful for this.
I also included a picture where a student is searching on the internet. We can find almost everything there and we should also be critical when it comes to filtering and deciding what sources of information are useful and reliable.
This is an ability that we should learn and teach to our students.
Regards, Virginia!

My collage represents 4 of the main things I have encountered not only as a new teacher (I graduated last year) but mainly as a Gen-Z student.

The first thing is the constant rejection of technology and the internet. Nowadays in most jobs you need to know the basics about the internet and how to use a computer or phone to work, but, in my experience as a student, most of my teachers didn’t want to hear a word about these tools. This way of thinking will only negatively affect our students, schools are there to teach younger generations the necessary tools for the future and technology is one of them.

The second thing is the way of teaching. A lot of teachers haven’t changed their methods of teaching. It is always the same, the teacher writes, the students copy, the teacher explains and then the exam. Most of my teachers have never stopped for a second to think if we were learning something, I don’t remember 80% of the thing I “learned” in school and I had good marks back then. That says a lot about how we, as teachers, should adapt ourselves to the new era to make classes appealing and important to learners.

The third thing is the use of technology for teaching and learning. There are thousands of apps, games and activities on the internet that would make our classes fascinating for students. Teachers have to learn to incorporate technology because that’s one of the most important things for the newest generations and that would make it easier for them to learn new things.

And last but not least, the internet and English. One of the main things I love about learning a new language is how a new world opens on the internet, and that’s what I want to teach my students. I want to show them that inside the internet there are thousands of cultures, information and friends waiting for them and they only need to learn English for that.

Today we can see this images at classroom, but we need to learn more about using technology because in this digitally interconnected world, our students need to acquire new skills to interact in the real world; so we need to be more than content delivers in the classroom, we have to connect with them with a good sense of humour, and be open-minded.

This collage attempts to depict education in the 21st century. More often than not, two perspectives can arise regarding this topic.
The postive viewpoint entails the transformation education has been undertaking alongside the advancements of technology in most aspects of life. Digital rescources such as smartphones and computers are undoubtedly relevent tools for the development and dynamics of lessons. However, in order to make a great use of technology, both teachers and students need to gather special characteristics like innovation, creativity, colaboration among individuals and critical thinking. Thus, students are encouraged to become global citizens, evolving constantly by acquiring useful knowledge, and teacher are to assume the roles of skill and knowledge developpers, fostering learners' automony.
On the other side, there is a negative reality as for 21st century education. This is illustrated by the lack of commun access to technology (updated resources and devices, Internet connection) and learners' poor digital knowledge, that is to say, critical and reflexive knowledge, other than the mere instrumental use of electronic devices.

Regards.

Digital age´s arrived to our lives and it has made many changes in the way we teach and the way our students learn. We need to be constantly updated because it changes faster than we think. As teacher we are our students´ guide, we must avoid our students make mistakes using translator apps. With new technologies students learn in a very different way as we did. Sometimes I think how different would have ben my learning process if I had had the technology students have now a day.

The role of students in the Digital Age is one of being active participants in their own learning. They have access to a vast amount of information and resources online, and they can use these to learn at their own pace and in their own way. On the one hand, Learners are also more collaborative than ever before, thanks to social media and other online platforms. They can connect with classmates, other students from all over the world to share ideas, and teachers.
Teachers, on the other hand, become facilitators of learning. They help students to develop the skills they need to navigate the digital world and to learn effectively using digital technologies. Teachers also play an important role in teaching students how to use technology safely and responsibly.

This is my opinion on online education:
Online education has greatly expanded access to education for many students. It allows people from any location to take courses and earn degrees without having to be physically present on a campus. This is beneficial for non-traditional students or those who cannot relocate to attend school.
Overall, online education has increased access to education and the learning approach has increased value in today's educational system since there are some strategies that can help students stay motivated and disciplined in an online and also in a face to face learning environment. For instance, students can work on group projects and discuss materials online across distances.
