IMPERFECT MEN

Three canvas bases
Perfectly placed.
Home plate and the mound
Perfectly spaced.

The chalk laid down
In a perfect line.
The infield dirt
Raked perfectly fine.

Then the teams take the field —
And we’re reminded again.
It’s a perfect game
Played by imperfect men.

You can feel the emotions on the field, you can smell the grass and practically feel the whole park hugging you and holding you within it. It reminds you that it is a sport you shouldn't take lightly and it's a sport you should appreciate with everything that you have. It makes me miss and reminisce my moments on a fresh baseball field playing the first game of the season, getting my first hit, and my first win. You're noble and therefore regarded as someone to be won. You're beautiful and therefore to be pursued. And when a women is the wooer what man would rudely refuse her till he has had his way with her? But dear me, you might resist when it comes to my mistress, and keep your beauty and youthful wantonness in check: they're leading you into a lack of control that makes you break a double bond - hers by being tempted by your beauty, and yours, where your beauty makes you false to me.

My understanding and interpretation about this sonnet is that he feels that it is impossible for a women of her beauty(whoever he is speaking of) and youthfulness to refuse temptation and that she is a prize that can be won. Also that A man will not stop if he really wants her and they will try with her until they get their way. Lastly that it is an unwise mistake to do so if you are going to cheat because they are forcing her to break a bond that she herself has made with her husband.

Answer: Because he is an important part to controlling helen and later in the video it states that aphrodite can bend helens will.

2. Contrast as to why Helen loves Paris but also despises him at the same time.
Answer: You could say that Helen has mixed feelings because she has had to see Paris's weak side and watch him almost get killed and also that Paris is described as a selfish and lazy coward who makes people deal with his own messes.

3. Predict and infer what you think will happen if the trojan army gets tired of fighting Paris's battles.
Answer: You could infer that the trojan army will stop listening to him and maybe can eventually stab him in the back because of how much they hate fighting his fights.

4: Hypothesize as to why Paris is scared of Menelaus. 
Answer: It could be due to the fact that Paris knows he is weaker then Menelaus so he stands back into his army to feel more protected. We know that he is weaker because of the fact that later in the video Menelaus defeats Paris in a fight.
5. Infer as to why you think Paris is more motivated by self-preservation and pleasure than by honor.
Answer: Paris is more motivated by self preservation and pleasure than honor because he is a selfish person who makes everyone else fight his fight and he does not like to deal with any of his problems personally. If someone lives in poverty then that doesn't mean that they are not talented and that they cannot do what others do, some people just aren't lucky enough or as hard working than others so they have to live in poverty and some people choose to live in it because they keep on making mistakes and doing other irresponsible things. Even if you know who you are and the type of person you are there are still others out there that will judge you based off of your origin or what type of life you lead. No one will ever know everything about you so people will always have to assume and the assumptions are sometimes easier when they are stereotypical assumptions.

Power affects a story in many different ways and most of the time it depends who or what you give the power to. If you give something power it is likely that it will be the most influential piece of your writing and that it is a main part of it. 

The quote," History is written by the winners." means that the parts that make it into the history books are the parts where people win not the parts where people had lost and suffered because the writers think and feel as if the people who had lost were not important when they are really as important as the winners as well.

Stories are so important because they give us a sense of literature and they tell us what things are like in certain places and they give us an idea of who people are like.

Its important to reject the "single story" because not everyone is like someone that you have read about, everyone is their own separate, unique, and special person and not everyone sees that. If you give someone a "single story" than you will not truly understand them and their origin and what their life is really like and what it has been like so its important not to judge and give a single story.
