In 1946, they had around 600,000 members A top priority was eradicating lynching, and they supported non-lynching laws. They widely advocated against lynching. They also fought for economic justice and jobs for African Americans. </div>]]></description>

They also helped pass the Civil Rights Acts of 1957, 1964, 1968, and Voting Act of 1965. Some people retaliated against the NAACP, but it did not stop them. They even had celebrities like Jackie Robinson advocating for them.</div>]]></description>
