The instructors used real-life examples and interactive activities, which made even the more complex topics easier to follow and much more engaging.

Another valuable part of the program was creating a LinkedIn account. I finally went ahead and made one after looking at my friends talk about it for so long. We learned how to build a professional profile, highlight our strengths, and connect with others in the legal community. This not only boosted my confidence but also prepared me for future academic and professional opportunities.

Overall, the BAC Law Bootcamp was an inspiring and impactful experience that helped me grow both academically and personally.

One of the key lessons I learned is that the law is ultimately about understanding people—how they think, behave, and navigate conflict. The bootcamp also taught me the value of preparation and the confidence that comes from consistent practice.

This experience has not only deepened my interest in the legal field but also clarified the kind of professional I aspire to be: someone who reasons critically, communicates clearly, and makes thoughtful, ethical decisions. Whether I continue down a legal path or apply these skills elsewhere, this bootcamp has shaped my direction and strengthened my motivation for what comes next.

A big part of that came from the lecturers themselves. Their teaching style wasn’t just about reading slides or memorising rules. Instead, they told stories, broke down real cases, and asked us questions that made us think beyond the textbook. They made the class feel alive. Whenever they explained concepts like mens rea or the actus reus, it didn’t feel dry, it felt like we were stepping into the mindset of a lawyer, analysing why things happen the way they do.

The environment at BAC also played a huge role in shaping the experience. The moment I stepped into the bootcamp, I felt surrounded by people who were equally curious and driven. Conversations flowed naturally, and even after class ended, we found ourselves still discussing cases, debating ideas, or sharing our thoughts about which field of law suited us best. It felt like a small community where everyone wanted to learn together.

Criminal law stood out to me because it deals directly with people, their actions, their choices, and the consequences that follow. It challenges you to think about justice, fairness, and the reality of human behaviour.

This bootcamp didn’t just teach me the basics of law; it helped me discover what truly excites me. And right now, that’s criminal law.
