One night I was at my cousin Amber's house with other family members and every time we get together we play card games. We started playing this one card game called "Golf" for a couple hours, then a few of our players got bored went to the garage to play air hockey. After a few people left my aunt had the idea to play Spoons. Everyone agreed to the idea and the rest of my family that stayed taught my sister and I, then played a few practice rounds. The practice rounds were fun and during the rounds I caught on very quickly then played Spoons for the rest of the night.

First, you have to get the number a spoons one less the number of people playing . Second, the players will get four cards and once the game starts you can either pass one card clockwise or counterclockwise. Third, when your passing cards around you can only pass one or if you want to keep one you trade the card you received with a card in your deck then pass that. Fourth, your trying to get four of a kind, so before the game starts you should think of what you want to match up and once you get your four cards, grab a spoon.

Next, when your setting up the game you have to put the spoons in the center of the table and it doesn't matter how you place them. Then someone has to shuffle the cards so you can have a nice and easy game. once that person is done, give all the players four cards then your ready to start the game.

Then, when your shuffling cards you need to make sure there are no jokers in the deck. After that, you deal out four cards to all the players. Now you have to listen closely, the dealer starts the game with the rest of the deck he still has four cards, but he starts the transitions by pulling the top card each time. The last person in the transition makes a deck next to the first person (the discard deck) and ends the transition.

Finally, Recalling from step 1 once you get four of a kind grab a spoon. If you're not the first one to get four of a kind, look up from your cards to make sure no one is reaching for a spoon. Also, some players can be sneaky and grab a spoon without you knowing, so keep a look out. When your about to grab a spoon make sure you do it quick so no one will be able to take your spoon.
