In the Fences it states," Okay, Troy you're right. I'll take care of your baby for you cause like you say she's innocent and you can't visit the sins of the father upon the child. A motherless child has got a hard time. From right now this child got a mother. But you a woman less man. In this scene Rose is saying she will take care of the child of her husbands mistress. I think this is one of the most compassionate things she has done. This quote shows just how much she cares for her family. It is good to be loyal but also not get  pushed around. In the beginning in my opinion she let herself get pushed around. She constantly made excuses for him. Think of the different colors as different blood. Some colors are the same, but spread out farther away because they only have a slit family connection. The slit connection is good but in the end it isn't 100%. Rose has explained in the movie how she feels about half and half families. Why you wanna do that to me? That was the one chance I had . . . I can’t work after school during the football season, Pop! I tried to tell you Mr. Stawicki’s holding my job for me. You don’t never want to listen to nobody. And then you wanna go and do this to me! . . . Just cause you didn’t have a chance! You just scared I’m gonna be better than you, that’s all." Cory has a fear of disappointing his father. Troy has a fear that his race won't let Cory go anywhere. The quote supports the them because it also shows fear that Cory will be better.
