What are infant reflexes?

Stepping reflex – hold a baby on a flat surface and they’ll begin to move their feet up and down like they are walking.

Grasp reflex – stroke the babies palm with your finger and they’ll grab your finger tightly.

Moro reflex – sit the baby upright for a few seconds then throw them back, they’ll throw their arms and legs out and extend their neck.

Head to toe development – motor development will start from the head downwards, a baby will turn it’s head before they open their arms and stretch them, they will then begin to kick their legs.

Milestones – ‘Developmental milestones act as checkpoints in a child's development to determine what the average child is able to do at a particular age. Knowing the developmental milestones for different ages helps parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals understand normal child development and also aids in identifying potential problems with delayed development.’ - http://study.com/academy/lesson/what-are-developmental-milestones-in-children-table-definition-examples.html

Percentiles – percentiles are the height and weight charts from the average ‘norms’ of a baby.
