Although I was originally unaware of this, I now know that the compounded expanded over the centuries. This is important as it stresses how important the Mosque was because over a great amount of time, people were always working on it.

Although some of the other mask were of women to represent female ancestors such as the Female (pwo) mask they are worm by em. It was a surprise to find how there the Sande Society was a group of women and who in contrast to other societies the mask were worn by women.

Something that was news to me was that it it was narrow in the center to make it easy to hold.
