We used a variety of different techniques and methods during the filming. One of the techniques we used were over the shoulder camera shots, we had done this shot to get more perspective on the one being interviewed. 
Once filming was done we had then made a rough edit of the video to give off a rough idea to what was going on within the video. I believe we had made the interview very well due to the fact that we used a large range of camera angles and cut aways we had also used some conventional techniques such as having a shot of the interviewer nodding to what the interviewee was saying. 

Despite that we did have a few problems such as not having the base plate for the camera which was a little time consuming. Another problem is that there were pedestrians constantly walking in and out of our shots. To avoid these problems next time we should first check if all of our camera gear is there and we should check out the location before hand in order to get better sound and a more smoother video. 

However we did have the initiative to use my phone to record better audio and this seems to have fixed the problem of having bad audio since our location wasn't actually quiet.

I started off by listing off questions that will relate to the Local Offer such as : What is the Local Offer? And how does the Local Offer effect the people who uses its services?.

The lesson today consisted of getting research, this was alright with me personally due to the fact that it will force us to increase our researching skills and this will help us in the long run.

We reviewed over three different adverts, making notes on how they can appeal to the audience with their different audio and visual techniques, 

Some of the videos we had watched had shown very unprofessional editing work in terms of visuals and audio. On some of the videos I had noticed that they do not really appeal to the audience such as some of the videos directed to people with disabilities they do not have subtitles or sign language interpreters. 

Today we also had the chance to go out and film ourselves talking about a department within the college. The group and I chose to talk about the media department since this is a department we are familiar with and can go into lots of detail about. The way which we went about this is by using a TelePrompTer and describing the department. once this was done we went and got b-roll footage and managed to get it onto a mac. 

The positives about this task was the fact that we could develop our team working and communication skills. The task also forced us to think creatively. 
The negatives was the fact the macs were very difficult to navigate and this can make it more likely to lose the footage. 

Personally I feel like I managed to communicate with my team very well and put across all of the ideas I had for this task.

However the only point of the lesson that was a little bit negative was the fact that we just found out that we had to turn our mind-maps into a report format which could be time consuming, but it will not be difficult because all we have to do is just put all of the information we have into a different layout.

The reason we did this was to edit the video tasks that we done in a previous lesson.

The lesson today was not bad because it allowed me to work with the software more and get more familiar with it. I personally managed in using the software due to the fact that I edit my own YouTube videos.
The lesson was alright in all honesty because it allowed me to gain more experience in using a software I am not too used too. 

The only problem with the editing was the fact that footage that I used was terrible and this is due to the fact that the camcorder we were using locked the focus on a blurry type of focal point. This made the final video not look as good as it should.

Despite that I do feel like the editing for the video was good and i managed to use tools such as: Razor tool effectively.

We had the chance to go down to the English department and interview individuals who may be affected by the Local Offer. 

During most of the interview I noticed that these individuals did not have any knowledge of the Local Offer and what they do, but they were aware about what kind of services they would like to see and what kind of things they would expect in a promotional video.

Some of the feedback we got from this interview was that one person mentioned that they would expect something that will impact the audience more than anything. This person wanted the information to be portrayed in an acting type format which will help emphasise how the services and facilities can help people who may have disabilities.

However the other person we interviewed mentioned something that was completely different to be used in a promotional video. This person said that they are expecting to be Pop style music to portray how good the services and facilities are to people. This then would then encourage others to go and join and make use of the services provided by the others.

However the best thing about today was getting the opportunity to use Garagband the music making app and apply it to editing. I really enjoyed this because I am a musician who uses Garage Band on a regular basis and this meant that I am going into familiar territory. The editing side was not too difficult for me either since I am used to editing my own YouTube videos. 

I believe that this lesson has helped many people with their own creativeness. We first started by doing our minutes and meetings and we laid out what needed to be done today which was: Audio Script, Conformation of Location, Risk assessment and Proposal. 

We managed to get a goof portion of our proposal done, but it cannot be completed since a member of the team is not in today. Despite the inconvenience, we managed to get the risk assessment done. 

However the audio script cannot really be finished today either due to the fact that our locations have not been 100% confirmed and this is a factor that has really pushed back where would like to be in terms of preparation. Despite that we do have a rough idea of what kind of video we would like to get despite the location. 

There are some solutions to some of the problems that we have. We are still at this point due to the fact most of the locations we have picked always give us an answer weeks prior to asking. Despite that we managed to go over to Harlow Bowl and ask if we had permissions to film there. We are at the same level due to the fact they want us to come in at a later date, however it seems we can get some footage. 

In terms of the other locations it seems that we do have permission to film at Quasar, to an extent. We are allowed to film, but there ar certain events that we are not allowed to film. We managed to get an interview with a student named Saskia Burnett and she was wonderful to work with. She managed to answer our questions in detail. 

The only problem with today was the fact that the assigned presenter who was Mark lacked in confidence and in doing so he couldn't expand on any of the questions we have asked. 
The way in which this can be improved in the future is that we can assign someone who can think on the spot and expand on questions.
