      <description>The recipient of a bachelor&#39;s degree in political science from UCLA and a master&#39;s degree in public administration from USC, Maryann Huhs began her career as the first woman budget analyst at the Los Angeles County Chief Administrative Office. She subsequently moved to Seattle to take a management position in the City of Seattle Office of Management and Budget. Her career at the City of Seattle culminated in the position of assistant engineering director with the Seattle Engineering Department. Through 2 years in this position, she managed a $170 million budget and achieved key metrics such as reducing receivables by 400 percent and increasing productivity by 25 percent. Maryann Huhs subsequently served 6 years as primary care administrator for Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound where she directed the operations of 6 full service primary care clinics and a residency program.
Maryann Huhs worked an additional 6 years with the Cooperative as director of occupational health. Her responsibilities in this role included product and market development, as well as the management of clinical functions. Among other accomplishments, she doubled program revenue in its first year and developed a care delivery system that boosted customer satisfaction.

More recently, Maryann Huhs worked as managing director of The Tetris® Company, where she managed the operations of the company including negotiation of licenses for the iconic video game with various electronic game companies. She also owned and operated a boutique art gallery in Bellevue, Washington. An avid hiker and walker, she has hiked mountain ranges in Jordan and, more recently, walked more than 300 miles in a 30-day period while canvassing for the 2020 presidential.</description>
