PERSONAL THOUGHT :
The Idea Workshop is a very nice & unique building for me because it speaks two different eras, the classic and the modern. The original beautiful facade is refined and reserved. Ornaments on the facade make the building stands out from other simple buildings along Jalan Tengkera. However, the back side of the building (which is now the front side) is given modern treatment.

Due to submission of journal, everyone is focusing on individual work during holiday. 

After holiday, we have discussion about work allocation for drawings, report and so on.

Although we have planned carefully and trial run of measure. During measure, we still faced some problem and difficulties but as we work together we have solved it.

Every member have tried to follow the task that has been allocated. And tried to got things done on time.

Personal thought:
It's challenging. I feel I have learned a lot, from other members as well. The process and journey throughout the trip is challenging and fun. Being able to travel and work at the mean time brings a new kind of experience to me. Besides, learning about how the owner himself preserved most parts of the old building especially it's facade and making it into his own office. With the two different facades at the front and back, one modern and traditional, it gives a blend between our current era and the previous era. The interior and exterior both blends in well, it provides a really comfortable working space as well as maintaining most of the features of the old building. Also, I get to understand more on how the olden days people have build their building in a way that it has their own purpose and meaning that enlightens me too. 

The challenge for this project that it is a 'Race of Time' kinda thing. We have to rush in order to complete most of our parts so that we get as much information as we could. Teamwork is also important, our group has been working well as a team and everything went good throughout the journey. Thanks to our tutor Ms. See as well for her support and guidance in this exercise.

It's a fun yet tiring project. I've learnt a lot of new stuff related to architecture based especially CAD-ing and also more to measuring building and it was basically what this project teaching us. We also had fun while doing work instead of doing it seriously :D PEACE OUT

This is my first experience in measuring real building and i found it is quite enjoyable as i can see the detailing up close. The Idea Workshop has really fascinating structure as it is a combination of classical and modern in term of design and building material. This is a very fun yet challenging project. The building was built in the early years, where most of the structure was hand-built and the dimensions were not standardised.This had made us faced some difficulties when taking the measurements even though we have planned it carefully beforehand. But, by working well as a team, we were managed to overcome it. 

The Idea Workshop is a very unique and nice building for me because it gives a blend of two era, the modern and the classical. It is very amazing to see how the owner transformed an old shop house into a modern office, and at the same time preserved some classical features of the old shop house.

This is my very first experience measuring the entire building including all the details , sounds crazy to me but it was truly an enjoyable experience. Thanks for our Tutor Ms.See for her guidance and Yik Ting her strong leadership while we were facing some difficulties when measuring the building. This was my first time measuring an actual building on site and it was very different in comparison to the previous given projects because it requires a lot of effort in details and a whole lot of teamwork in order to finish our task at hand. 

The building was very unique in comparison to neighbouring buildings due to its combination, balance and innovation of blending to different architectural eras together. I really liked the style and ambiance of the building.

The idea workshop is a fascinating building with its unique combination of different style and element. It has been an informative and resourceful visit that brought up a new experience for me. After discussion for today, we have allocated the drawings that who is in charged, and task.

We have also divided into  CAD, model and report team. But meanwhile everyone still cad for the spaces they measured. So everyone is very clear with their individual work and task.

We have arranged the working hours for everyday and will try to follow so to get things done on time.

Felt a bit overwhelmed when I first saw the building. But it was interesting to see how the owner conserve the place yet inputting a modern touch to it.
