In my opinion it is very easy for people to be close minded and get stuck in their ways. I think your brain plays a big roll in that. If we meet someone and have a good first impression of them we are more likely to defend or overlook them. If we do not initially like a person we are more likely to deny positive things about them. The Brain Games video told us that when humans look for a mate we subconsciously prefer symmetrical faces because it is a sign of a healthy mate to produce healthy offspring and continue the species. Also, men are attracted to women with wider hips because they are better for bearing children.
