all through this course we’ve learned about communications with children and parents. We’ve made posters and role played about talking with parents about their child and how they do during the day. We learned about active listening, body language, verbal, written, praise and encouragement.

How we write letters to parents and asking them to come for refreshments and talks. Also learned to write down words to say in the radio.

is when you chat at a door quick about how the child’s night/morning quick. Example- did the child sleep good? Did they eat breakfast?

Quick chitchat helps us with what to expect with a child.

we can get all the parents emails to get to them how updates about their child(s) progress and what goes on in their daily lives in the daycare. It is important cause the parents need to know what goes on with them and how they interact with others so that they know what to expect when they are picked up to go home.

We could put all of the information needed on a nice poster that has bright colours and some fun designs own the poster to get everyone’s attention, they could also be informed if they read through the poster to see what is needed to be shared with the families. -Jean

We learned how to make rapports by writing letters to families, we have to be professional as much as we possibly can for the parent to have a better understanding of what is happening at the daycare or with the child’s development. -Jean
