He would make sure the kids were content and happy and if they were he would go no farther. Whenever something was wrong he would immediately help out and solve the problem. He helped teach the kids important lessons and guided them to success. You should always make ethical decisions no matter what situation you are in. Always make sure you are making the best possible decision before you act. It can sometimes be tempting to make the choice that benefits you the most but that is not always the right choice. 

There are many times in life when you must bend the rules. The rules do not apply to every single possible situation that could ever occur, they only apply as a general guideline. For example, a general rule in life is to never lie. In some situations it is important to lie so that someone else's life can be better, take into account parents, they tell their kids about a magical figure named Santa, this is a lie but the kids love it and it makes their lives better. 

The final, and most important life lesson is empathy. It is very important to think about what other people are feeling and take that into consideration when making decisions. Everybody has different lives and feelings, there are many things that we can say that might hurt their feelings.
