In a marriage, the man and woman, devote themselves to one another for life. This is the sacrament of Holy Matrimony. The couple agree to mirror the Union of Christ and His Church. The traditional wedding ceremony, which takes lace in a church, is pretty familiar, The bride is escorted down the aisle by her parents and entrusted to the groom. At the Altar, the bride and groom exchange rings and vows. Once they kiss, the couple is followed down the aisle, by the wedding party. They are many variations on the traditional ceremony. Depending on what the couple likes, they will usually have either music or poetry during their service. Flower girls, and ring bearers are also common, and since many Roman Catholic weddings take place during mass, those present, receive Holy Communion. At the end, most weddings are followed by a celebration or party.
