         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thomas Paine was born January 29, 1737 in Thetford, England. When he was young he worked for his father, but quickly started bouncing around to different jobs that he was unsuccessful in and unhappy. When times were hopeless for him he met Benjamin Franklin who told him to go to america and gave him letters of introduction. When he came to America he found a job as the writer for the Pennsylvania magazine, and wrote lots of articles and even some poetry.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thomas Paine was famous for one of his articles when he was writing for the Pennsylvania magazine called Common sense that was the first pamphlet that suggested independance from Great Britain.  The Common Sense article recommended independance from Great Britain and now is known for one of the first ideas leading towards the declaration of independance. He was also famous for another one of his articles called the american crisis which was published right before the declaration of independance. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>He influenced the United States Government with his common sense article that recommended Independance from Great Britian. After his common sense article the US started thinking about what they wanted compared to what Great Britain wanted. Eventually, The constitution was made and Thomas Paine was famous for being one of the first for getting the US started in Independance from Great Britain. We now know him as a influential philosopher through his writing for the Pennsylvania magazine. Also, he was part of the enlightenment thinkers and we notice him for being part of that too. </div>]]></description>
