I am only a teacher without any experience in being a principal or head of department and quite frankly without any ambition in becoming one. I work in the only Secondary school in Olhão and I think a teacher needs to become a leader and motivate its students as a team on one hand but on the other I think school needs to change and for it it needs a leader that once again can motivate and create a team/ group of teachers to make it happen. I belong to a group of teachers who decided to innovate assessment in school by taking a "50-hour-course" within a Portuguese project called "MAIA - Projeto de Monitorização, Acompanhamento e Investigação em Avaliação Pedagógica" and next school year we are trying to start to implement a different approach on the teaching - learning- assessing process (mainly assessment but I can't separate assessment from the rest :( ). I saw this course and thought : maybe I can learn something here to make it happen.
So I don't have much experience to share: I am a backstage type of teacher.
