Fracking is the process in which liquid is injected at high pressure into rock to force open existing fissures and extract oil or gas. Fracking is done underground into deep rock. Fracking is done in 21 U.S. states. Some states prohibit fracking but a lot do not. As of April 2016 the states that do the most fracking are North Dakota, Texas, and Pennsylvania. Some positives of fracking are that it is an alternative source of fuel, it reduces surface toxicity, low energy cost, and more jobs. The negatives of fracking go on forever but a few are it requires huge amounts of water, theres a possibility the water can be contaminated, it can and has triggered earth quakes, and they use hazardous chemicals. In my opinion the negatives definitely outweigh the positives because there is only so much earth left and its being destroyed so quickly. I dont think anyone should have the right to destroy the earth for money. http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/17/politics/donald-trump-scott-pruitt-epa/

Fracking is drilling into shale and tight-rock formations a mile or more below the surface and turning horizontally to get oil and natural gasses. Fracking is being performed all across america specific states are: California, Utah, Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, and a few more. In my opinion, the negative outweigh the positives of fracking. Some disadvantages of fracking include wasting water, detrimental to the environment , and unsafe working conditions. Although fracking creates a surplus of natural gasses and oil, the negatives outweigh the positives of the process of fracking.

Fracking is the process of injecting liquid at high pressure into rocks or boreholes to force open existing fissures and extract oil or gas. Fracking is happening all around the US in more than 20 states, it really took off in the 1990's. Yes fracking is a very effective way to extract oil and gas but it pumps millions of gallons of water and chemicals into the ground. Fracking should be stopped because all of the chemical filled water that is pumped into the ground has huge impacts like infiltrating aquifers or breaking down rock if left there long enough. https://www.earthworksaction.org/voices/detail/citizens_empowerment_project?gclid=CIma-7WQhtICFQYwaQodPJsLWg#.WJ4CpPkrLIW

Fracking is the process of injecting liquid into docks at high pressure in order to extract oil and gas inside fracking is used in more then 20 states in the u.s. Including Texas, Oklahoma, and Ohio. I feel that the benefits out weigh the negatives because oil is a very important resource that is in high demand. I believe that we need to keep fracking until and alternative energy resource is found that is as efficient as oil and gas. But until a new energy source is found then fracking is the best method to get oil and gas. Fracking is also a safer way to get oil then deepwater drilling because there can be huge spills that effect large areas, with fracking some areas are contaminated but it's a lot better then polluting large areas of the ocean. https://www.earthworksaction.org/voices/detail/citizens_empowerment_project?gclid=CIma-7WQhtICFQYwaQodPJsLWg#.WJ4CpPkrLIW
