Fracking is done underground into deep rock. Fracking is done in 21 U.S. states. Some states prohibit fracking but a lot do not. As of April 2016  the states that do the most fracking are North Dakota, Texas, and Pennsylvania. Some positives of fracking are that it is an alternative source of fuel, it reduces surface toxicity, low energy cost, and more jobs. The negatives of fracking go on forever but a few are it requires huge amounts of water, theres a possibility the water can be contaminated, it can and has triggered earth quakes, and they use hazardous chemicals.  In my opinion the negatives definitely outweigh the positives because there is only so much earth left and its being destroyed so quickly. My opinion that negatives over weighs the positives due to requiring huge amounts of water, may cause more earthquakes, possibility water contamination, and possible of using hazardous chemicals. If fracking is still in process, then we will damage our environment even more, losing tons of money, and limited of natural resources.

I feel that the negatives out weigh the positives because fracking has been linked to increased earth quakes. If we have increased earth quakes then we will just be spending the money we earn on gas and oil to repair the damages from all the earth quakes from the fracking.
