On the open grounds of August Kranti Gandhi launched the Quit India Movement in Bombay. Many people gather to listen to his speech "Do or Die". He mentions that we shall free India or die in a attempt to do so. This was a nationwide rebel against the British rule in India.

Leaders from the Indian National Congress are arrested by the British after the movement was complete. Leaders such as Jawaharlal Nehru and Gandhi were arrested. protests were carried out against the arrests, eight people were killed during the course of the protests. That did not stop the protesters from targeting governments buildings etc.
