Elizabeth II was born on April 21, 1926 in London, the first daughter of Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI) and his wife Elizabeth, Duchess of York (later Queen Elizabeth). In 1947, he married Prince Felipe of Greece and Denmark, with whom he had four children: Carlos, Ana, Andrés and Eduardo. Elizabeth II was crowned on June 2, 1953.

   Many people will not know who Rosa Parks was, if she had not acted it may be that today black people continue to be despised as then.(green) 

   Rosa Parks was born in 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She is recognized (red) in the civil rights movement in the United States for refusing to give up a white man’s seat and move to the back of the bus. When (purple) he did he ended up in jail as she had to (blue) obey him. 

   When (purple) Martin Luther King learned of his imprisonment he asked all African-Americans not to take the bus until everything was sorted out. She became an international icon of resistance to racial segregation.

   She died in 2005 after getting Black people respected as people and not as animals.

 

Perhaps, if he had announced all his merits more, he would have had even more fame than he does. Marie Curie, cannot go unnoticed in the past because she was hungry and cold, and she risked her health in order not to give up her investigative passion.

In 1942, the family went into hiding in the secret annex of Anne's father's company building. During this time, Anne wrote all the experiences she was going through in her small diary. On 4 August, 1944, when Anne was 15 years old, the Frank's hiding place was raided in response to an unknown tip-off, as a result, they were arrested by the nazis, and the following day, they were deported to Auschwitz. In October, 1944, Anne was sent to

Bergen-Belsen where she died of typhus in March 1945, only weeks before the camp liberation.

In my opinion, if she hadn't written the diary, she wouldn't have inspired the world, and nowadays the world would be less peaceful and there would be more conflicts.

      I'm going to talk about the importance of coco chanel in the past and how I help society to advance, especially women.

     

    Coco Chanel, was a French woman who spent her childhood in an orphanage and had a difficult life, with a lot of effort and dedication, after working in various cafes and stores, she began to design hats at home, little by little she opened a simple store where  sold his creations.  Coco had always shearch comfort and simplicity in the cloths and was against the thoughts of that time, so she was the first designer to create pants for women, she stood out for being so innovative and did a before and after in fashion and  in the society. 

     Later her life gets complicated, but right now she is remembered as an amazing woman thanks to everything she did in the past for women.

She was greatly influenced in her decision to specialize in her studies by the disease suffered by her grandfather, who died of cancer when she was 15 years old. Elion was able to get her degree for free because of her good academic record. "In a job interview, she was turned down for fear of distracting the attention of the all-male workers".

The same year that Elion finished her master's degree, her fiancé died from an illness that was curable only a few years later. The loss of both loved ones was the trigger for a greater effort to find a treatment for the diseases they suffered.

Malala Yousafzai nació el 12 de julio de 1997 in Pakistani. She is Pakistani

but has been residing in England since 2012 because of an attack she had in her city. Malala is knowing for promoting civil rights activism.

On October 9, 2012 she was attacked by an armed man, she was survided. Thanks to that she became the most famous girl in the world. After what happened, he asked the UN that all children at the end of 2015 be in school.
In addition she won the Nobel Peace prize in 2014 for her fight againstthe suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.
Apart from the Nobel, he also won the Sakharov prize, Simeone de Beauvior and the International of Catalonia.
She was also listed in Tine magazime as one os the 100 Most Influential People.

Maybe if she hadn't been attacked right now she wouldn't be one of the most influential people today.

 

         After the arrest of Rosa Parks, black people of Montgomery and sympathizers of other races organized and promoted a boycott of the city bus line that lasted 381 days. Thousands of courageous people joined the “protest” to demand equal rights for all people.

 

         In conclusion, I chose her history because she changed the lives of all people with another ethnicity and is one of the referents that women can change the world. 

 

    

Billie Jean King is considered one of the best tennis players and athlete of the whole sport history moreover to be an important referent in the fight of rights for womens.

She was born in 1943 in Long Beach, California and when she was eighteen years old had already won twenty tournaments and had obtained the best score in all of the tennis modalities. Furthermore of win all of these awards, she beated her only two opponents, Margaret Smith and Bobby Riggs, who were the numbers one in tennis. 

But her most significant victory was in “The battle of sexes”. How all we know, a few years ago, there was a lot of machismo in the sport and  women had to do a lot of efforts for be recognized. In that match Billie faced Bobby Riggs who was considered the best tennis player at that moment. He decided challenge her to have fun of she, because he thoughts than he could not be defeated by a woman. If Billie had not won that game, probably the society’s machista thoughts would have been reinforced. Hopefully, that no happened and the women started to be more important in competitions.

Today we can appreciate Billie by the great player that is and the history that she made.

In this period, was very difficult for women's get acces to the Univeristy. Elena, who was getting private classes at the beginning, finally go to the class with a real order of the kin Amadeo I. She was greeted with applause from her peers to the class. Two of his brothers followed this way and studied Medicine like Elena. She finished his studies since 1978 and 1979, but becouse she was a women she could took a big confusion to important people and three yeras later they gave him her degree. If they given it before she would have done a doctorate, but in this time she had studied a degree of Magisterium.

She was a reference for a lot of women's to start studiying and do a role more important than stay only at home.

She refused. Suddenly, the driver called the police and she was arrested. 

After that, she continued her fight. Rosa had many problems for what she did. If she had stopped her fight, she would not have had so many problems, but she never gave up.

 She was born in the 7th of november of 1867, she was the last of 5 children that their parents gave birth. When she was 10 years old, she was sent to the J. Sikorska boarding school, years later she joined into a girl’s private school where she started learning lot of things, and she graduated with a gold medal. She suffered depression because she wasn’t allowed to study a career because of being a woman, so she took private classes. 

Later she managed to enter a clandestine higher education institution called Uniwersytet Latajacy that did admit female students. In 1981 she travelled to Paris, where she met Pierre Curie, she married him. If she hadn’t gone to Paris, she wouldn’ have never marry him. In Paris, she learned a lot about radioactivity. She died in 1934 by anemia, due to the high exposures to radioactivity.

Marie Curie’s investigations helped a lot in the creation of nuclear energy.

In 1912 she married Leonard Woolf, who was also a writer and an economist. In 1917 they founded  the Hogarth Press, which was a publishing house. From that moment on she began writing books. Her writings were given complimets very soon and with their help she started to pursue the role of the women in writing.

If she had not kept suffering from depressions she would not have died the 28th of March of 1941. But the most important thing is that she started to revolutionize women's rights, which are a must need in today's society.

At 16 years old, she abandoned her home and eloped with Percy Shelley, a married man in with whom she fell madly in love. That is why Mary was criticized countless times: she experienced the deep machismo of the time.

 

Frankenstein was born the summer of 1816, when Mary and her husband were at the poet Lord Byron's mansion, who told the two and their secretary, John William Polidori, that they should write a horror story. Polidori and Mary Shelley were the only ones who could finish it: the both did that two unique beings gave birth. The vampire and Frankenstein. This incredible work was published under a pseudonym because being a woman, Mary had no other choice.

Frida Kahlo was one of the best painters of Mexico. She could meet many famous painters thanks to her paintings, who became very famous after her death.

Frida Kahlo was born in 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico. She was a Mexican painter who had not an easy life because she had poliomielitis and a very serious accident that made her to stay in bed for a long time. Despite being ill, she painted over 150 paintings that reflected her life and her suffering.

She was a symbol of feminism. Despite being married and love her husband very much, she was self-sufficient and strong. She was one of the first female painters that reflected the feminine rejecting the vision of traditional feminine.

Frida Kahlo contributed to the formation of a new type of identity for women. People should have known her before but now many people recognize her like a symbol.

At the age of 22, Caroline went to live with her brother, who was a musician, to England, where she taught her to sing. Because of this, Caroline was able to be a well-known soprano and began singing professionally. William's hobby was astronomy and built powerful telescopes.

 

 His reputation as a telescope builder made him quit music. Science was discovered thanks to her brother William for her, who was the personal astronomer of the King of England and when she was 37, King George III assigned her a salary as his brother's assistant which could afford economic Independence and gradually become a celebrity in the scientific world.

In conclusion, I think that if Caroline had not gone to live with her brother, she would not have been an astronomer.

Despite Ada being born in the English aristocracy, she had an unusual childhood for a girl in the mid-1800s. Her mother insisted on her being taught science and mathematics, in order to prevent her from exhibiting her father’s mood swings and temperament. Because of this, she was able to meet Charles Babbage and study advanced mathematics at the University of London. Babbage invented the analytical engine, capable of handling complex mathematical calculations, which is now considered the first computer. Ada was asked to translate an article written about this machine, however, she described coding methods similar to today’s computer programming, making the original article three times longer.

Had she not been a woman, her contributions would likely not have been discovered up to a century later.

Nightingale was the smallest of the three sisters and they were born in a rich family. She received a classic education with math, French, German and Italian. Since she was young, she was helping ill people and also poor people. After that, she realized that that was what she wanted to do, but her parents disagreed.   

Then, during Victorian Era everyone wanted her to married someone in her social class to stay in the same social statue and had a bright future. However, she rejected some marriage offers. For continued with her vocation. In 1850, Nightingale started to study nursing in the Institution of Protestant Deaconesses in Kaiserswerth, Germany.  Later, she went back to London, where she began to work as a nurse.  Also, she was a volunteer at Middlesex hospital. In October 1853, the Crimean War broke out, and in 1854 Nightingale received a letter from Secretary of War, Sidney Herbert, asking her if she could organize a group of nurses to help the soldiers. They were working in a hospital in Constantinople sat on the top of a cesspool, which contaminated the water and the building and it may have caused a lot of deaths. 

In conclusion, Nightingale was an esteemed pioneer nurse, who received an award, during Crimean War in a British base hospital and probably if she and other nurses had not been there, more badly injured people would have died. 

 

During her tenure, she was removed twice. She was accused of corruption. On the two times that she was forced to leave the political office, a man became president again. If she was a man, she would be president.

Bhutto was killed the 27^th of December of 2007, after a manifestation of his politic party, the PPP, in the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi, two weeks before the election date where she was leading the opposition candidacy. His son Bilawal Bhutto succeeded him as leader of the PPP. You can find his grave in the mausoleum of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
