         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today we wrote about Esparanza Rising and discussed what our names mean. It was our first class so it was interesting to see all the English candidates together in one class. All of us were pretty tired but it was great to talk to one another. We made jokes and bonded even more. I was nervous to finally be in a course that let us focus on English but by the end of class I was excited to start this class with my peers. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It was my first time writing a narrative essay in years so I wanted to give myself a break when I was writing this essay. I think I did a good job overall but I know that I have a lot to improve on. However, it was fun to write about my name and what it means to me since I was never able to fully put it into words. I want to learn more about Paul McCartney's life outside of The Beatles for my saturation paper. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today we went over the TPE's and created slogans for them, we also summarized what each of them were. It was fun to work with people I usually don't work with so that was a huge plus. I really enjoyed making the tin foil humans because it seemed like a really good bonding exercise.&nbsp; The exercise where we had to write a story for our tin foil humans was really fun because I got to come up with a whole new person based on an emotion. It was also cool getting to meet up with my bookclub because we are all reading very different books and got to talk about our artifacts. I thought that all of us came up with creative projects.&nbsp;<br>What are your next steps for your Saturation Research Paper? &nbsp;</div><div>The next steps for my Saturation Paper is to read a little more about Paul’s transition from his life with the Beatles to a solo life. His passion for music is slowly changing and I want to encompass the emotions he felt during this time. I will read some biographies and article about him during this time.&nbsp;</div><div>Which TPE’s stand out as&nbsp; areas of strength for you? Which will you need to develop?&nbsp;</div><div>I think I’m doing alright with the 6th TPE because I am open to collaboration and enjoy getting feedback from others. I think I am still struggling with TPE 3 because I am not that good at knowing the common core curriculum.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Today was a great day. I came in pretty tired and over everything but it was great to talk to everyone and laugh throughout class. Reading out loud was way more fun than I thought it was going to be. It was fun hearing people use fake voices and learn how we can making reading fun. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Happy Halloween! Today was a pretty fun day! We all got to eat some good snacks and talk about how Halloween went at our placements. We then got to read a dystopian short story which really fit the mood. We also got to meet with our book clubs and talk about our last letter. It was fun talking to my book club in person again since I was online last week. Overall, it was a great class today!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The house I found the most appealing was the middle house because it drew my attentions in comparison to the other houses. I felt that the middle house seemed fun and it seemed like I would be able to customize it how I want. The other two houses look like murder houses so I would not want to live in them. I want my students to be interested in what the are learning so I want them to have fun with it. Yadira recommended we introduce them to the Crucible with a mini trial so that students have an idea of what will happen and they can relate to what the people who put the girls on trial felt like. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The thing that is lingering in my mind is the oncoming stress these next weeks will bring. There's a lot to do right now and I feel like I'm not going to be able to do it all but somehow I'll find a way to finish it all. I would like to know more about teaching students to bring in different arguments rather than only focusing on proc and cons because my students are currently arguing pro or con for a topic. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sadly I don't take over until the end of January but I am very excited to implement many new things in my classroom! My mentor teacher has a very strict way of doing things so I want to give my students more agency by letting them have their opinions heard in the class more often. I plan on letting them work in groups more often and giving them assignment that require more critical thought. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My favorite piece I wrote was the saturation paper because it was the firs time I wrote a narrative essay in a while. A piece that taught me an important lesson about the writing process was the rubric for the demonstrations lesson because even from the beginning the prompt needs a lot of work. A piece that was challenging for me was the first bookclub letter because I usually don't write for fun. I got a a great idea  for teaching from the demonstration lesson for the Crucible. The Book club project taught me what type of teacher I want to be because I want to give my students time to read a book of their choosing in class. One thing I learned when creating my demonstration lesson was to give my students time to do everything. I should not have them rush.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>After rereading your scaffolds I think you should change this to a straightforward narrative and not a narrative essay. Your standards all point to that option, too.</strong><br>This is directive feedback and is very helpful. Now I know that I should take a different route for the essay. This made me think that I also need to include actual materials that demonstrate how it would be done. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I had no idea that the F.A.I.R act even existed. It was awesome learning about it and the protections it gives us in the classroom. I really want to develop an inclusive curriculum but was worried about the parents push back I would get so this gave me comfort knowing that we have the ability to reference this act if such an incident were to occur. </div>]]></description>

Now I feel a lot more confident and I am excited to be a full fledged teacher.
