“‘Listen. Easy now,’ said the old man gently. “I know, I know: you’re afraid of making mistakes. Don’t be. Mistakes can be profited by.’” Fabor is explaining to Montag to not fear making mistakes involving his plan. Now, I found this significant and important not only in the context of the book, but in life in general. In our lifetime dwelling on mistakes or fearing future possibilities limits us to what we can accomplish, while accepting them ensures succeeds no matter what.

"In Beatty's sight, Montag felt the guilt of his hands. His fingers were like ferrets that had done some evil and now never rested, always stirred and picked and hid in pockets, moving from under Beatty's alcohol-flame stare." In this section of text, a point is being made about Montag's guilt to which he is starting to feel. Though this is describing a poker game taking place, I believe it symbolizes some regret and emotion Montag is displaying. Throughout the text Montag seems to feel little to no guilt up until this point.
