I think he didn’t kill him because he has never killed anybody before and because of this he was nervous. I think that he was so ready to do it until he had the opportunity to do it and then it set in on what he was about to do. I also feel like he might not want to see his mom depressed or sad because she lost both husbands and possibly her son too. I understand this because when you let anger cloud logic and your other emotions its hard to see any other outcome that’s not the one you want.
