ODL will effectively start on Monday, 13 April 2020.
Using normal time table, we will meet twice, 4 hours, per week.
For ODL, I will give you flexibility in learning STA108.
I take few factors into consideration such as internet coverage in your area and also I don't know how other lecturers for your class going to conduct your classes, in terms of day and time.

Thus, to ease you in managing your ODL learning time, for 4 hours that we should meet on Tuesday and Thursday (AS1204A), Wednesday and Thursday (AS1204C, AS1164A), I will give you flexibility to learn at any time on that particular week.
Meaning to say that, it is not necessary for you to learn STA108 on Tuesday and Thursday (AS1204A), Wednesday and Thursday (AS1204C, AS1164A).

You can learn and study at any time form Monday to Sunday on that particular week, as long as you know the learning objectives and achieved the learning outcomes.
But, please do not start late because you have tasks to do and need to submit by every Sunday, before 5pm.

I will list all weekly learning objectives and learning outcomes together with the references.
Your responsibility is to learn, study and do the tasks given.
Any questions and problems arise just WhatsApp me.
But please take note that I may not reply to your questions instantly, depends on the time you message me too.
Surely, I will reply and answer you.
In case of I did not reply to your message more than a day, do remind me, because I have more than 1 students to reply to, and it takes my time too.
Need your understanding too, it really takes time for lecturers to prepare the ODL materials, so there will be certain particular weeks that I may not able to give complete materials.
Thus, give me some time to get back to you once I have done prepare the materials.

Do not worry. Just follow whatever lecturers instruct you to do.
You just need to worry if you did not study and always procrastinate.
Remember, ODL demands a high responsibility and discipline from yourself.
If you did not study on your own and do all the tasks based on guides given by lecturers, there is a high probability for you to take the same course again by next semester.
So, please do not take this semester easy as most of you are home.

For attendance, you are required to submit the tasks that I will assigned for each week.
A link will be given to you later to upload your works.
Make sure you scan and merge all your works in pdf format and in a single document, clearly and readable.
Since I give you flexibility to study at any day, I strongly encourage you to start learning earlier.
If your Tuesday and Thursday (AS1204A), Wednesday and Thursday (AS1204C, AS1164A) are free, then use that time for STA108. If there are any problems arise, you can ask earlier and I can response earlier too.

Finally, please plan your ODL wisely for all of your subjects, not merely for STA108.
Again, remember that ODL really demands a high responsibility and discipline from yourself.

For group project, I will update from time to time.
Just follow my instructions.
