Google Classroom is multiplatforms, though like many Google tools, I encountered compatbility issues, notably with Internet Explorer. Apps are available on Android too.

Google Classroom (GC) has proved very useful to tech online or when you are in sickleave. Connection is easy and you can post for a class or sub-group documents, links and merge it with any Google tools. The main feature in mmy opinion is the possibility to upload a Doc file with the option "make a copy for each student" which means that each student will receive a document like if it was his own paper on which he can make personal modifications or answer to questions individually.

To go further: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fkADrNhCPg

An app is available on Android too.

G Docs has proved very useful to tech online or when you are in sickleave, to prepare multimedia documents one can embed any kind of documents such as videos , slides, audio, etc.

Again Docs is fully interactive with other Google tools such as Youtube for videos, etc.

I like using Google Docs in French as typing allows to practice spelling in a different way. It also allows students to receive more feedback as a digital copy is more flexible for comments and monitoring.

One regret about G Docs is that it is less powerful than Microsoft Office and less suer-friendly.

To go further: https://study.com/academy/lesson/how-to-use-google-docs-in-the-classroom.html#:~:text=Within%20the%20collaborative%20work%20environment,document%20returned%20with%20comments%20added.

French is erratic; Thai is totally giberrish!
One can add his own subtitles which is very useful for teaching French!

YouTube videos can be reused in order apps such a EdPuzzle for better interaction...

To go further: there is plethora of tutorials on YouTube itself to discover its potential, and each video is an example or counter-example own its own.

Duolingo is multiplatforms but the desktop version allows the access to the grammar points which are curiously absent from the apps.

There is a forum to discuss ones' learning issues.

Learning a language with DuoLingo is tricky as it is very much based on structures and words redundancy but there is a blatant lack on the communication focus.
As a matter of facts, students learn many words, structures and rules but do not have the opportunity to express themselves which lead to little or no capacity to use what they learned in a real situation of communication.

However, I find it very useful and supportive for my new students. It appears that often, in international schools, we get new students, completely new in French, in the middle of a 3rd year of French class. Differentiation is a must and DuoLingo partially answer to the situation.

To go further: https://www.commonsense.org/education/app/duolingo
