Also more  snowpack makes the great salt lake less salty by diluting it. There are harmful algal blooms and you should not go near them.          <description><![CDATA[<p>I have learned a lot from this article such as, that some algae can be harmful to humans. I also learned that "The difference in color between the lakes North and the South Arms is due to a railroad causeway that was built to replace the old wooden trestle bridge in the 1950s. Unlike the old bridge, which allowed lakewater to flow freely, the rock and dirt causeway essentially dammed the lake, cutting off water flow and creating the two arms." - Ella</p>]]></description>
