Ratliff explains how transmission is how an artist expresses their emotions within their music. All artists have different emotions and have different ways of expressing these emotions within their songs. Emotions can be displayed in different musical aspects of the songs and through the created lyrics. I agree with Ratliff’s interpretation of emotion in music, but I believe that all people have their own emotional interpretation of each song just as the artist’s have their own way of expressing these emotions.
