         <description><![CDATA[<div>HIV/AIDS - <br>Throughout history, this disease has always faced a significant amount of stigma, and those who have fallen victim have experienced extreme marginalization (especially the LGBTQ+ community). From the 1960s until 2018, the WHO estimates 32 million people have died from AIDS, and 37.9 million people have lived with the illness. HIV have become more manageable, and it's not possible to live a long life with this chronic illness.</div>]]></description>

This outbreak made clear that European countries and the United States had a significant lack of willingness to help these African countries - as Ebola was not effecting them. However, these Westernized countries were more than willing to become involved with pandemic response during COVID, when they began to be affected. </div>]]></description>
