He secretly plots his revenge plan by consuming castor oil and an egg, which helps him vomit, and he vomits on one of the contestants, leading him to vomit on another person creating a vomiting chain reaction that affects everyone, including the mayor and the entire crowd. Soon after, Chris and the rest of the boys start insulting his gang, causing Ace Merrill to pull out his pocket knife and almost slice Chris's neck in an attempt to murder him. However, Gordie shoots the gun into the air, startling Ace, and Gordie threatens Ace by stating he will shoot him dead, which causes Ace and his crew to flee, which saves Chris's life.
