Describe one health-related positive social change area or topic that is most important to you and how you are working to positively impact this area or topic.

Health Care Access and Quality

Although everybody benefits from knowledge and resources that are simple to locate and comprehend, it is particularly important for persons who have a restricted ability to access, understand, and use information and services, also known as personal health literacy (Reed, 2022). As healthcare providers, incorporating health literacy practices into our daily activities can help to advance health equity, minimize inequities, and enhance health outcomes (Reed, 2022). There is little doubt that improving workplace health literacy presents hurdles, and it will take time to properly incorporate its ideas into current procedures (Reed, 2022). However, it will eventually become the way we do our jobs rather than an added task. The result will be a more engaged and healthier society, outweighing the initial effort in incorporating health literacy principles (Reed, 2022).
