Samuel Morse was born in Massachusetts, America on 27th April 1791.  He was an artist and inventor who studied at Yale.  He was a professor at the New York University.
Morse invented the single wire telegraph.  He developed the 'Morse' code. SOS is the internationally recognized distress signal shown with ...---... (made possible because of Morse's invention).
He was a generous man and gave much to charity.  He died in New York City on the 2nd of April 1872, 25 days before his 81st birthday

Isaac Newton

Isaac Newton was born on December 25th 1642 in Lincolnshire, UK. He died on 20 March 1726 in Kensington, UK.

He was good at maths and science.

His mummy wanted him to be a farmer but his teachers noticed he was very good at school work especially maths and  sciences so his teachers persuaded his mum to send him back to school again.

Newton invented or developed Calculcus. This is a special type of maths that focuses on the change of things.
Isaac Newton saw when an apple falls it does not go up, left or right, it will just go down. He discovered a force called Gravity. Must have pulled the apple to the ground.
Isaac Newton built the first reflecting telescope and discovered that light (white light) can be split into lots of different colours by reflecting the light.
