The social conflict theory states that the greediness in today's society drives everything and changes the power dynamic between the rich and the poor. It states that certain institutions, like the media and criminal justice system, encourage a cycle of deviance and incarceration for the sake of profit and power dynamics. And yes, it seems incredibly apparent that laws have been written to target minorities and the poor, such as anti-homeless laws and the War on Drugs.
