S-Culture can effect your sense of self because you may feel different from everybody else. Another example is, that if one does not agree with the values/tradition/way of dress in your culture and choose to not comply with this, the person may be looked down on by their family and yet fit in with their friends. This would make the person in question feel pressured, stressed and torn.
J- Culture can effect your sense of self simply because of bullying. They may be bullied and made to feel different. This can be bad that the person believes different is bad. I know from experience how religion can be looked down upon . Even though our class and year right now is very Jewish at my old school I was one of the only Jewish people and I was made to feel bad.

culture can make a huge impact on ones sense of self as it reflects on part of who you are and what you believe in. For example if you are left out by not having the same culture as everybody else then it will make a negative impact on your sense of self because you will feel like you don't belong even though it is okay to be different and unique.
