i don't particularly have one schedule for replying. i'll get to it when i can. if it is written on the tracker, i know of it. you can remind me if i haven't updated the tracker in 48 hours. i am comfortable with 1st or 3rd pov, but i tend to use 3rd if possible. replies usually are from para to multi para. length doesn't matter as long as it's not a one liner and there's enough there to have a substantial conversation with.

although she'd never admit it, she has a deep desire within her for validation and ambition. especially towards achieving what one could say a life that really feels like her own. she still doesn't feel that.

she also will help others who she feels are in disadvantaged situations who don't have people to support them. she feels that she's felt that way before so she becomes soft hearted when encountering that situation. she can't help but lend some sort of hand and take responsibility for putting them on a better path. she's been taken advantage of for doing this though so she doesn't do as much nowadays.

she's the daughter of a rich man's dalliance and a woman seeking to climb the societal ladder. a nuisance, something to be hidden.

miji's mother was paid to shut up about her daughter's existence, and miji lived simply like that. however, as miji lived oblivious to the secrets behind her very existence, her mother's hatred of her grew.

if only miji was a boy. if only she could become the heir of the riches that man held.

in order to combat the official wife, her mother rolled out her plan carefully. she raised her to live up to her namesake - beautiful and wise. she used all the money the rich man was secretly feeding her in order to put miji in all the top schools, learn things from piano to the arts to public speaking. she made it that it was inevitable that miji and her father's real family would cross paths. miji's mother found satisfaction in knowing that miji would capture the attention of the socialites for being so gorgeous, so perfect, and such a threat to the perfect family her birth father was trying to keep together.

however, miji was starved of actual love and attention. her value was measured on how well she could preform on a stage for her mother's twisted games. if she did anything that her mother perceived as a failure, she was screamed at, ignored, and emotionally manipulated into executing whatever her mother wanted.

the older miji got, the more she understood. and the more she understood, the more she wanted to escape.

miji's mother's strict education of her ended up being her own downfall. it meant miji was smart enough to be able to escape without a trace abroad to the states to pursue her own goals. eight years she spent building herself up, making connections, networking, working herself to the bone. she was determined to make it on her own terms. she's travelled the world taking on job after job and building her name. to the point that at her young age, she's built up quite the good reputation.

however the sense of loss she felt never truly faded. yes, she was successful now, becoming a extremely successful consultant abroad, but the hole in her heart where a family should have existed never really filled.

she's been back in korea now for a high paying job she couldn't turn down, but she's not looking to confront her past. she cannot lie though, being back in her home country, speaking the language and eating the food she grew up in was something she never thought she'd miss like this.

late at night she wonders occasionally. why did he do that? why did he do that when he was the one that she thought she'd love for the rest of her life?

the rival. at a previous job you two met. miji's work ethic and intelligence was intriguing to you. you two have maintained a professional relationship since. a bit of rivalry has popped up because of how similar but different you are at your jobs.

(will need to discuss what sort of rival it will be, more playful and based off of admiration for each other or more darker where miji and you are both trying to one up the other. because of miji's tendencies, a darker route would be more fitting but we can definitely work around this!)
