Many people think of themselves as a good listener, because they can sit and listen to a person talk with the occasional head nod and “mhm”. Recent studies have shown that good listeners need way more than that. It turns out that a good listener makes the conversation active (2 people speaking back to back) and makes the conversation run smoothly while building a person's self esteem and also providing feedback.Rather than a good listener being someone who just sits there and listens, its more of someone who can bounce off ideas with one another. The best type of listener is someone who can make the other person see the light.
