1. David Hockney was born on July 9, 1937 in Bradford, United Kingdom. He is an English painter, printmaker, stage designer, draughtsman, and photographer. His art work helped contribute to the pop art movement of the 1960s. One of his famous quotes was, " The moment you cheat for the sake of beauty, you know you're an artist." He first studied in England and then moved to LA. Where he painted his famous pool paintings. Around the 1970s, he began to work in photography. He fell into photography by accident and realized that the polaroid collage he had created was art in itself. In the late 1980s, he returned back to landscape painting and print work. Then in 2011 Hockney was voted the most influential British artist of all times. Hockney's work is very colorful and unique. He also plays with shapes too to create the pop art style.

2. I took the photos by just walking around the duck pond and looking for something that caught my eye. I had known I wanted to take a picture of a bridge while I was out there. For the Hockney collages I took nine photos; three above, three in the middle, and three on the bottom. I wanted all my photos to be a little different so that I will be able to piece them together. In Adobe Photoshop I created a white template so that the pictures could be placed on one sheet. Then I just started adding images on top of each other and playing around with it till I got something I liked. I am happy with the way they both came out but I don't know if this is my style or not. For the panoramas I took four photos all slightly moved to create a panorama. Each photo needs to have one thing that was in the last picture so that the computer can piece the photos together. You open the first photo in Photoshop and then you go file, automate, and then you click the other photos. Finally, you just merge the layers and your panorama is done.
