American Indian Culture

I am really grateful that this board about American Indian's exists. This semester I was fortunate enough to take a class where for one of our reading assignments we read "The Joy of Reading and Writing: Superman and Me" by Sherman Alexie. The author lived on the Spokane Indian reservation and the story spoke depths about the mistreatment of native american culture. I was frankly surprised to learn how bad it was - and perhaps scared that I have never realized it before. I'm glad this board is here to bring awarness for Native Americans as well because of how often they get forgotten in the conversation of solving racism. -SPCH 100 Student
