This semester I was fortunate enough to take a class where for one of our reading assignments we read "The Joy of Reading and Writing: Superman and Me"  by Sherman Alexie. The author lived on the Spokane Indian reservation and the story spoke depths about the mistreatment of native american culture. I was frankly surprised to learn how bad it was - and perhaps scared that I have never realized it before.
