I know the setting is a fantasy kingdom because there are made up beings like witches, trolls, ogres, talking gnomes, and pixies, but at the same time the village was run by feudilism and the entire village was ruled by a monarchy.

A hunter was trying to shoot the dog, because it's actually a wolf, so Cassie had to lock the wolf up in her house to keep him safe. He's named Tokie, or Toklata. The owners are dog breeders, and Tokie got out during during a flood. The owners are on their way to pick him up. The police blocked off Cassie's house and are asking her to let the dog out so they can "catch him". Cassie can't call the police or the owners because ironically, the wolf chewed up the phone. Cassie has been feeding Tokie for a while and meeting him and becoming friends with him, but now she has to save his life. In my book, the setting is in Rome in a school. Then, her dad picks her up telling her there is a secret organization chasing her because she is one in a handful of people that can use the Spear of Destiny. Her dad tells her to go to a monestary with a monk named Brother Greagorio. She stays in the monestary for a while, then decides to leave because she wants to find the spear or find more information, so she calls a taxi service. When the taxi comes, a member of the Hastasti (secret organization) is the driver and notices she has the special mark that allows her to use the spear. Cassandra (the girl that can use the spear) starts running only to be picked up by a monestary helper and the nephew of Brother Greagorio.
