I didn't choose a lion as my a representation just for this, lions aren't symbolized for no reason, they actually do represent courage. They show courage by hunting their prey and protecting their young.

The song uses terms like "my powers turned on, starting right now I'll be strong" this particular lyric is part of the chorus and is most meaningful to me because they will keep fighting and stay strong (keep up the courage). This means a lot because it is good motivation to have courage and be brave even through rough periods.

In addition I think most people need to have more courage for whatever they are doing in life. Ian Maclaren once said " Be kind for everyone is fighting a hard battle." This quote doesn't directly relate to courage but has a strong connection. You must have courage for "fighting your own battle."  So for 2018  I  must fight my battle with courage. Which means  my hope for 2018 is to learn more about courage and learn how to fight my battle using courage.
